Did you get snow overnight?

  • Yes, I can't believe it
  • Yes, but it was just a coating
  • No, I don't see any at my house
  • Maybe, but it melted fast

A freeze warning is in effect from 8 p.m. Sunday until 10 a.m. Monday as temperatures drop into the mid-20s. The freezing temps will kill sensitive plants if they are not protected or brought indoors, the National Weather Service warns.

There is a chance of snow after 2 a.m. Monday, with rain, snow and sleet in the forecast through 11 a.m. Monday, the National Weather Service said. The precipitation will turn to rain for the afternoon, but it could become snow again after 5 p.m.

One to two inches of accumulation is possible, with heavier snowfall in northern Fairfield County and less along the coastline.

Monday's high temperature will reach the upper 30s to near 40.

Many across Fairfield County may have been surprised to wake up to snow in April. The wet snow, combined with strong winds, knocked down tree limbs and caused power outages across the area. A lightning strike also caused a small fire on the roof of a Greenwich office building.
