original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The manhunt is now nationwide for a man who posted a video on Facebook as he randomly shot an elderly man to death in Cleveland. Billboards with the suspect's picture and his car are posted along I-95 and in other parts of the state on Tuesday morning, according to multiple media reports

There's no indication that 37-year-old Steve Stephens is in Connecticut, although authorities have no leads on where he might be since the Sunday murder in Ohio.

"The information regarding Stephens has been sent out across the country to all law enforcement agencies, and is available for all people to see and be aware of," Connecticut State Trooper Kelly Grant told WFSB-TV of the billboards.

In a Facebook message, Stephens blamed his ex-girlfriend as well as heavy losses in gambling for the violent rampage.

Robert Godwin, Sr., 74, was walking on a street in broad daylight on Easter Sunday when Stephens pulled over in his car and shot and killed him.

After the killing, Stevens said he had killed 13 people, a claim authorities said they have not been able to verify.

Stephens is considered armed and dangerous, and the public must remain vigilant, authorities said.

After the fatal shooting, Stephens' cellphone reportedly last pinged in Erie, Pa., about 100 miles east of Cleveland.

Stephens is 6-foot-1, weighs about 244 pounds, and is bald with a full beard.
