STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford man charged with strangling his girlfriend in a car on I-95 in Fairfield failed to show up Tuesday in court for the start of his manslaughter trial, according to the Connecticut Post.

Martinez, 29, is to be arrested again, per orders of Superior Court Judge John Kavanewsky Jr., according to the Connecticut Post.
Martinez is charged with first-degree manslaughter in the April 8, 2013, death of Brenda Hernandez, 23.
