BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – An Easton man accused of shooting his parents to death will not have to provide law enforcement with enhanced fingerprints until prosecutors provide evidence of unidentified fingerprints on items taken from the crime scenes, according to the Connecticut Post.

Superior Court Judge Robert Devlin denied the prosecution’s motion before adjourning the Kyle Navin's case until Nov. 1 to allow time for the 28-year-old to be psychiatrically evaluated, according to the Connecticut Post.

Navin is accused of killing Jeffrey Navin, 56, president of J & J Refuse, and Jeanette Navin, 55, in August of 2015 . The Easton couple’s remains were found several months later, on Oct. 29, buried beneath debris in Weston.

The accused's girlfriend, Jennifer Valiante, is believed to have helped her drug-addicted boyfriend plan his parents’ murders, according to police. She has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and hindering the prosecution. According to the ConnecticutPost, Valiante, 31, is to appear in court Wednesday.
