Harding High Bus Runs Over Downed Powerline

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A school bus heading to Warren Harding High School ran over a downed powerline in Bridgeport on Tuesday, according to ctpost.com.

United Illuminating crews responded to the incident at Mead Street and Central Avenue.

Neither the driver nor the aide was hurt, and there were no children on the bus, ctpost.com said.

The incident occurred at a downed line near the intersection of Mead Street and Central Avenue around 2:30 p.m. United Illuminating personnel were dispatched to shut off the power while the bus occupants were ordered to stay inside, reported ctpost.com.
