Sorana Dimarino, 50, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and risk of injury to a child. She posted a $5,000 bond and will appear in court Oct. 28.
Police were called to Whole Foods at 6:35 p.m., Sunday, on a report of a shoplifting incident. When they arrived, they were told by employees that the suspect had been found with $197 worth of goods, which she had concealed and tried to leave the store with, according to police reports. Police said she also had a minor child with her, who was a conspirator in the larceny. Dimarino was then taken into custody.
