The funding came as part of Connecticut’s Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) and meant big changes at 39 Lindeman Drive, headquarters for the rehabilitation organization for people with disabilities and special needs.

“The Town of Trumbull was pleased to apply for the (STEAP) funding in order to repave the parking area for clients and visitors of this great organization,” said First Selectman Timothy Herbst. “The Kennedy Center does an amazing job providing services to people and families throughout the region. We are proud to have them in Trumbull.”

Kennedy Center programs benefit more than half of Connecticut’s communities. The agency employs 750 people and serves more than 2,000 individuals annually.

State Sen. Tony Hwang and state Rep. David Rutigliano helped secure the funding.
