Residents turned out for Friday's special event, as the college students manned several stations where seniors were able to try out various exercises that have important real-life applications for health and fitness, such as strength and stability, hand grip, walking and blood pressure.
All of the students are either exercise science or pre-physical therapy majors and have been volunteering at The Watermark’s fitness center throughout the semester. The health fair is part of their end of the year project to demonstrate what they have learned, and to share it with the broader community.
Seniors and their families also had an opportunity to learn more about health and wellness options available to them in the Bridgeport area.
