The money came from the 6th annual "Wonderland of Trees" fundraiser and will be used for local families this winter.

The effort called upon hospital departments to decorate three-foot, artificial evergreens, that were then given away in a raffle. Over the six years, the tree fundraiser raised $37,900.

Spooner House annually provides emergency shelter for about 200 people; 36,200 meals to local residents, 5,000, self-help services and 2,500 meetings with case managers for guidance, support, and caring.
