Selter was nominated "for his dedication and compassion when caring for his patients," St. Vincent's said in a statement. "He goes above and beyond, spending an extraordinary amount of time caring for vulnerable patients at the St. Vincent's Family Health Clinic."
Selter got his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, then completed an internship and residency at Yale's New Haven Hospital. He completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology there as well.
Selter is board certified in interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology, and has offices in Trumbull and Fairfield.
St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation has also been celebrating its volunteers of the year, as well as St. Vincent's employees who are celebrating a milestone anniversaries with St. Vincent's. This year, associates were recognized for five to 40 years of service.
