Currently, the mission is severely lacking in turkeys and coats and is asking residents and local companies to step up and donate to ensure they have enough for families in need this Thanksgiving, added the ctpost.com.

Donations can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 1069 Connecticut Ave., Unit 2B, in Bridgeport, the story said. The mission requests donations be made no later than Nov. 9 to make sure they are ready for the event, which is from Nov. 18-24, the story said.
