You might want to listen in to the 6th annual Sacred Heart University Media Exchange, “Fake News, Real Problems: Journalism and Education in the Digital Era.”

This invite-only program will take place at 6 p.m., June 22 at the university’s Martire Business and Communications Center and will be live-streamed on WSHU Public Radio's website, www.wshu.org.

Former NBC/CBS news anchor Faith Daniels is the moderator, leading a panel including best-selling author Simon Bailey, former National Public Radio news executive Ellen McDonald and media literacy educator and expert Belinha De Abreu.

The panelists will discuss fake news and how it affects society. Audience members will have a chance to share their opinions as well.

“I do worry that many Americans are not getting their information from reliable sources,” said Joseph Alicastro, faculty advisor for the event.
