Bridgeport To Wind Up Black History Month With Breakdancing

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. --  "A Hip Hop Expression of Black History" to recognize the role African Americans have played in history is Saturday, March 4 at the Margaret E. Morton Government Center.

This event, organized by My Brother’s Keeper, includes a Black historic art exhibit, a panel discussion on hip-hop and youth violence, and award presentation.

Activities include a DJ contest, break dancing and poetry.

Special invitations will be extended to founders of hip-hop including Kool Herc, Red Alert, and various artists.

The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Center, 999 Broad St., Bridgeport.
