The Rockettes will be visiting Newtown on Friday, Sept. 22 in celebration of the Marquez-Greene family. The family lost their daughter Ana Grace at Sandy Hook in 2012 and have a foundation in her name.

Each year as the Christmas Spectacular gears up -- the famous Rockettes holiday show, the dancers' “Gift of Joy” program honors fans and families throughout the tri-state area.

The family was selected because of their devotion to others in the community. The Ana Grace Project is dedicated to promoting love, community, and connection for every child and family through three lead initiatives: partner schools, professional development, music and the arts.

Two Rockettes will be at Holy Cow Ice Cream Shop from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. where they will recognize the family with a special gift. The event is free and open to the public.
