BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport's Gathering of the Vibes is celebrating its 20th anniversary in grand style.
The Vibes - which has grown into a massive, four-day, music, art and camping festival - is drawing huge crowds, with campers, vendors, and music lovers taking over Seaside Park for the weekend.
The main stage was mobbed Friday for performances by the Tedeschi Trucks Band, followed by Greg Allman, who played plenty of Allman Brothers classics, as well as solo material. Both acts soaked up the perfect atmosphere, and thrilled the sea of fans with stellar performances.
Twiddle, The Word and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings also played the main stage Friday. Jaimoe's Jasssz Band, David Gans and Doyle Bramhall II played the Green Vibes Stage on Friday.
The Festival was scheduled to continue Saturday (highlighted by Warren Haynes, and Wilco on the main stage) and Sunday (including Zappa Plays Zappa, Weezer, and Ben Harper on the main stage).
