BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Brigeport's City Lights gallery is continuing its tradition of hosting an end-of-winter artists' talk, "sharing food for the body and food for thought," on Thursday evening March 24.
The public is welcomed to come enjoy discussion and community, regarding the exhibit "Never Done: the Manifestations of the Beauty, Inspiration and Constant Strength of Black Women."
The exhibit features the work of Bridgeport artists manifesting the "work," spirit and unending potential of Black women through painting and photography. Artists include Adger Cowans, Alicia Cobb, Janelle Gordon, Jefferine Jean-Jacques, Iyaba Ibo Mandingo, Olivier Kpognon, Shanna Melton. It also features the fabric art of Bridgeport's Gees Bend quilters Eula Mosley, Sandra Pettway, Rosie Pettway, Betty Bendolph, Lucy Pettway Joanna Pettway and Mary Bendolph.
The artists' talk will be from 5:30-8 p.m. City Lights is located at 855 Main St., in Bridgeport.
