Sears Appliance & Hardware In Shelton To Close By End Of The Year

SHELTON, Conn. — The Sears Appliance & Hardware store located at 705 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton will be closing its doors for good by the end of the year, according to the Connecticut Post.

The closure — coming after 20 years in business — is posted in a handwritten sign near the front door, the Post said.

A going-out-of-business sale is underway at the location, with discounts of 30 percent to 60 percent on items, including lawnmowers, refrigerators, and washers and dryers, the Connecticut Post said.

After the Shelton store closes, loyal customers will have to head instead to the Sears locations at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford and the Danbury Fair Mall.

The Shelton location is the last Sears Appliance & Hardware In Connecticut.
