In all, nine Bob's locations in Connecticut would close — the original store in Middletown along with Danbury, Enfield, Fairfield, Hamden, Manchester, Milford, Simsbury and Waterford — if the plan is approved by bankruptcy judge.

Meriden-based Eastern Outfitters would also close Eastern Mountain Sports stores in Fairfield and Buckland Hills mall in Manchester.

The company is looking to close 48 total stores between the two brands in the Northeast after filing for bankruptcy Feb. 5.

A bankruptcy judge in Delaware must approve the plan to close stores.

The Bob's Store in Norwalk would remain open as would the EMS store across from the Danbury Fair Mall. An EMS store in Stamford closed last year.
