BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Businesses in Bridgeport are encouraged to help beautify the downtown area by sponsoring the cost of plantings and hanging baskets.
In exchange, the businesses will get promotional opportunities on banners that will be displayed on Main Street near the Holiday Inn, McLevy Green and Baldwin Plaza.
The Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District is sponsoring this program called the 2016 Decorative Light Pole Banner Sponsorship Program.
The DSSD serves as the business improvement district for downtown Bridgeport.
“The Banner Program is a key piece in DSSD’s efforts to beautify downtown Bridgeport and establish a welcome setting for residents and visitors. DSSD wishes to thank everyone who invested in the first phase of the Banner Program," Mike Moore, DSSD President said.
To date, 22 individuals and businesses have signed on as sponsors.
Artemis Landscape Architects and Bob Abbate Marketing are involved in the program.
